What is the cervical cancer cause ?
Nowadays, finding the cervical cancer cause is being as important as developing its treatments. In fact, determining the connection between HPV infection and cervical cancer has allowed finding a vaccination against this disease.
Almost all cervical cancers are caused by HPV (human papillomavirus). HPV is a common virus that is spread through sexual intercourse. There are many different types of HPV, and many do not cause problems. However, HPV is still considered as the major cervical cancer cause, since certain strains actually lead to a cervical cancer.
Is there any other cervical cancer cause?
There are many other risk factors that can lead to this cancerous disease and can be called cervical cancer causes, like:
- Having sex at an early age
- Multiple sexual partners
- Sexual partners who have multiple partners or who participate in high-risk sexual activities
