How often should you be screened?
CervicalCheck, the new national cervical screening programme, invites women for free cervical screening at different intervals based on their age.
Age | Frequency |
25 | First invitation |
25 - 49 | Once every 3 years |
50 - 64 | Once every 5 years if your last 2 regularly scheduled results have been 'no abnormality detected' |
60+ | Women over the age of 60 who have never been screened should contact their local CervicalCheck registered doctor or nurse to discuss their cervical screening needs |
